At the SGVF, our program strategy is built upon the pillars of Empathy, Team, Trust, and Technology. While our foundation is grounded in the field of medical science, our connection with individuals and communities is deeply rooted in the realm of sociology. With every intervention we undertake, Trust and Empathy form the bedrock of our approach, as we endeavour to establish trust within the community and empathize with their unique circumstances. By understanding the challenges faced by community members, we continuously design and redefine our interventions with compassion, ensuring they are tailored to address their specific needs.

In India, eye care remains a frequently neglected topic, even among the otherwise aware and economically strong population. For rural and underprivileged communities, access to essential eye care services is exceedingly rare. A study revealed that Cataracts, the leading cause of blindness in India, imposes a staggering economic cost of approximately INR 1 Lakh Crore due to missed opportunities. However, the issue at hand is not solely limited to economic or accessibility factors; it also bears a significant social dimension. To tackle this multifaceted challenge, our dedicated teams engage and counsel beneficiaries, working diligently to make suitable arrangements that ensure their comfort and conviction in seeking the necessary treatment they require.
